Sudan is characterized by the diverse natural resources which are represented in the arable agricultural land, which is estimated at about 200 million acres, 25% of which is exploited, and the abundant fresh water from rivers, rain and groundwater.

Whereas forests and natural pastures are available in expand areas, Sudan has significant livestock wealth of cattle, sheep, goats and camels, as well as fish and poultry, with predestination for wild animals.

Sudan land contains strategic mineral resources, including gold, petroleum, and other precious metals as well as it includes the basic ingredients for industries such as raw materials, administrative and technical human resources trained of both sexes, moderate-wage labor force, and relative proximity to the target markets, with the possibility of optimal use of land, river, sea, air and rail transport, taking into account the availability of alternative energy generation sources from wind and sun, with the possibility of increasing the use of hydro and thermal energy.
